בֵּן (bēn) is an Aramaic noun meaning son. It appears 11 times in 2 books of the Hebrew Bible (Strong's H1123).
Root family 2639: בַּר bar — I, son. Used as in Hebrew. (Cf. the Aramaism בַּר (bar) in Ps 2:12 and Prov 31:2). Most Semitic languages use נן (nun), as in the Hebrew bēn “son.” The origin of the רֶשׁ (reš) is not clear, but note the variant forms Nebuchadnezzar and Nebuchad-rezzar in Hebrew. The plural of bar is spelled with נן (nun)
