חֲסַף (ḥăsap) is an Aramaic noun meaning clay. It appears 9 times in 1 book of the Hebrew Bible (Strong's H2635).
Root family 2739: חֲסַף ḥăsap — clay, potsherd. The word is not used in Hebrew. Its use in BA is restricted to the feet and toes of the image of Dan 2. The only question is, v, as the clay miry (2:41, KJV), or was it already baked, like pottery. Since the picture is one of smashing breakable things, probably the latter is intended (so niv)
