Welcome to Bible Ministries International (BMI). By accessing or using our websites (BibleMinistriesInternational.org and BiblicalTools.org), services, programs, or resources, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Bible Ministries International is a 501(c)(3) non-profit religious educational organization dedicated to helping people encounter Christ through Scripture. These terms govern your use of all our ministry services, including our websites, educational materials, spiritual support services, and community programs.

2. Ministry Services

2.1 Educational Resources

BMI provides various educational resources including:

2.2 Online Bible Reader Platform

Our online Bible reader provides comprehensive study tools including:

• Bible Text Access: Multiple translations and versions for study and comparison
• Audio Bible: Professional narration of Scripture passages

• Interactive Quizzes: Self-assessment tools to test biblical knowledge
• Study Materials: Supplementary resources including maps, timelines, and reference materials
• Personal Study Tools: Note-taking, highlighting, and bookmark features

By using our online Bible reader platform, you agree to:

• Use the platform for personal spiritual growth and education
• Not download or redistribute audio content without permission
• Not use automated tools to scrape or harvest content
• Respect the terms of the Bible translations we provide
• Not share account credentials with others

2.3 User Accounts and Progress Tracking

For our online Bible study platform:

• You may create a free account to track your study progress
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• Quiz scores and study progress are stored to enhance your learning experience
• You may delete your account and associated data at any time
• Accounts inactive for more than 24 months may be deleted

2.4 OpenEars Spiritual Support

Our OpenEars service provides spiritual counseling and support. By using this service, you understand that:

• This is a spiritual support service, not professional mental health counseling
• Communications are kept confidential within pastoral care guidelines
• In cases of immediate danger or legal requirements, we may need to contact appropriate authorities
• Our volunteers and staff are trained in biblical counseling but may not be licensed therapists

2.5 Community Programs

Participation in our Bible studies, seminars, and community outreach programs is subject to:

• Respectful behavior toward all participants
• Adherence to program guidelines and schedules
• Parental consent for minors under 18

3. User Conduct

When using BMI's services, you agree to:

• Use our services only for lawful and appropriate purposes
• Respect the spiritual nature of our ministry and community
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or harmful behavior
• Not attempt to disrupt or damage our websites or services
• Not use our services to promote content contrary to biblical principles
• Respect intellectual property rights

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 BMI Content

All content on our websites and in our materials, including text, graphics, logos, audio, video, and software, is the property of Bible Ministries International or used with permission. This content is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

4.2 Permitted Use

You may:

• Download and print materials for personal, non-commercial use
• Share our content for ministry purposes with proper attribution
• Use our resources in church or small group settings
• Stream audio Bible content for personal listening
• Save personal notes and highlights within your account
• Print study guides and quiz results for personal study

4.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Sell or commercially distribute our materials without written permission
• Modify or create derivative works without authorization
• Remove copyright notices or attribution
• Use our logos or trademarks without permission
• Download, copy, or redistribute audio Bible recordings
• Share quiz content or answers publicly
• Use automated systems to access or download content
• Reverse engineer our platform or study tools

5. Donations and Contributions

5.1 Processing

Donations are processed through our secure third-party provider, Zeffy. We may also accept other forms of contributions including stock donations through Every.org or similar platforms. By making a donation, you agree to the applicable payment processor's terms of service in addition to ours.

5.2 Tax Deductibility

As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations to BMI are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will provide appropriate tax receipts for your contributions.

5.3 Refund Policy

Due to the nature of charitable contributions, donations are generally non-refundable. If you believe an error has occurred, please contact us immediately.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms of Service. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with our Christian values and applicable laws.

6.1 Analytics and Tracking

We use analytics and conversion tracking services (including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads) to understand how our ministry resources are being used and to measure the effectiveness of our outreach efforts. By using our services, you consent to this data collection as described in our Privacy Policy. This information helps us:

• Improve user experience on our websites
• Understand which resources are most helpful to our community
• Measure the impact of our ministry efforts
• Allocate resources more effectively

6.2 Form Submissions

When you submit forms on our website (newsletter subscriptions, prayer requests, testimonies, volunteer applications, or contact forms), the information is processed through secure third-party services including Netlify and may be tracked for ministry effectiveness measurement.

Some of our content is designed for children, such as our "Animals of the Bible" series. For users under 13:

BMI is not responsible for:

Your interaction with third-party services is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimers

9.1 Spiritual Guidance

While we strive to provide biblical and spiritually sound guidance, our resources and counseling are not substitutes for professional medical, psychological, or legal advice. Always consult appropriate professionals for specific needs.

9.2 Educational Content

Our Bible study guides, quizzes, and educational materials are designed for spiritual education and growth. Quiz scores and assessments are for self-evaluation purposes only and do not constitute professional theological education or certification.

9.3 Technical Services

We strive to maintain availability of our online Bible reader, audio streaming (through Live365), and study platform, but cannot guarantee:

• Uninterrupted access to audio streaming services or live broadcasts
• Preservation of user-generated content (notes, highlights) in case of technical failures
• Compatibility with all devices or browsers
• Real-time synchronization across multiple devices
• Continuous availability of third-party embedded content

9.4 No Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BMI and its directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bible Ministries International, its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these terms or your use of our services.

12. Modifications to Terms

BMI reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our services for violations of these terms or for any conduct we determine to be inappropriate or harmful to our ministry or community.

14. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of San Diego County, California.

15. Dispute Resolution

In keeping with biblical principles (1 Corinthians 6:1-8), we encourage resolution of disputes through Christian mediation or arbitration before pursuing litigation. We are committed to resolving conflicts in a manner that honors God and preserves relationships.

16. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bible Ministries International regarding the use of our services.
