Grace and Peace to You
Another week of diving deep into God's Word together. We've wrestled with fear at the Red Sea, shared honest conversations about finding rest, and traced the Hebrew word for "dog" through Matthew's gospel.

Light for Your Path: When Fear Has You Cornered
Picture this: You're completely trapped. Behind you, the world's most powerful army. Ahead, an impossible sea. On both sides, towering mountains. That's where 2 million Israelites found themselves — and where we sometimes find ourselves too.
Moses' response still takes my breath away: "Do not be afraid. Take your stand and see the salvation of Jehovah" (Exodus 14:13).
Three ways to apply this today:
• Pause and breathe when panic rises
• Ask "What is God teaching me?" instead of "Why me?"
• Choose one small act of trust over worry

Friday Seminar: Rest, Stillness, and Restoration
What does rest look like when life feels overwhelming? We gathered to share honestly about finding Sabbath rhythms in chaotic seasons.
Voices from Our Community
Eileen: "The stillness in the morning is really the best time because you can carry it during the day"
Al: "You have it on a Sunday. Don't expect me to come because I'm not coming. Jehovah comes first"
Mark: "I can take God with me all day and I want it all day. That's all I want"
"Nothing is wasted. God redeems every season — the rushed and the stagnant, the overwhelming and the empty."

Sunday Bible Study: Dogs in Matthew
Mammals in Matthew • Part 14
We dove deep into the Hebrew word kelev (dog) this week, following its thread from Matthew's Gospel back through the Old Testament. Through careful examination using TWOT 981a and Margoliouth's Hebrew translation, we discovered four distinct patterns that beautifully illustrate Scripture's unified message.
Four Main Nuances Examined:
Contempt — As demonstrated in Goliath's response to David
Greed — Dogs as agents of divine judgment
Disgrace — The ultimate shame of being devoured
Opposition — Barking compared to enemy attacks
"As we examine the spiritual significance of dogs in Scripture, Caleb's name provides a key insight. Though spelled identically to the Hebrew word for dog (כלב), Caleb demonstrated unwavering faithfulness. This linguistic connection within our animal symbolism study reveals a principle: like dogs exemplify loyalty to their masters, believers must remain faithful to proclaiming the whole counsel of God—both salvation and judgment—rather than selective teaching."

"For the Word of God is living, and working effectively, and sharper than every two-mouthed sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrows, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart;"
— Hebrews 4:12 (KJ3)
Until next week, may you find treasures hidden in every verse,
peace in every storm, and rest in every season.
