Grace and Blessings to You
Another week of exploring God's heart for the hurting and wrestling with deep truths together. We've examined feeling abandoned by God, shared honest conversations about relationships that shape us, and celebrated the beautiful story of Ruth through music and devotion.

Light for Your Path: When God Feels Absent - Emptiness
Sometimes God feels completely absent. Sometimes our prayers feel like they're bouncing off the ceiling. Even in spaces designed for celebration, we can feel empty inside. Job sat in ashes questioning where God had gone. You're not failing in faith—you're experiencing something deeply human.
Two kinds of emptiness exist: destructive emptiness from loss and trauma, and sacred emptiness when we stop trying to control everything.
This week's practice:
• Write one honest sentence to God each morning
• Stop trying to fix emptiness with forced gratitude
• Remember: your emptiness doesn't disqualify you from God's love

Musical Reflection: Grace in Harvest Fields
A new BMI composition capturing the profound themes of loyalty, providence, and redemption found in the Book of Ruth. This biblically faithful musical narrative traces Ruth's journey from widowhood to becoming part of the Messianic lineage.
The song weaves together Ruth's devotion to Naomi, her humble gleaning in Boaz's fields, and the recognition of him as kinsman redeemer. Each verse builds narrative tension while highlighting themes of hesed (loyal love) and divine sovereignty working through ordinary circumstances.

Friday Seminar: A Relationship That's Shaping You Right Now
We explored relationships that transform us—with God, with family, through loss, and in new seasons of life. Those present opened up regarding their walk with God, navigating the uncharted territory of widowhood, and finding humility in ministry.
Voices from Our Community
Charlie: "My wife has been really a good coach... Now I try and use God's outline on how we are to live and a lot of it is right there in the word of God."
Al: "I'm in uncharted territory... I've never been on my own. But I keep saying, Lord, if there's the woman you want for me somewhere out there, we'll find each other."
Eric: "We want to listen to God... You don't want to listen to me. I could lead you astray. Even though I'm trying to be faithful, I can still lead you astray."

Sunday Bible Study: When God Feels Absent from Your Life
When Life Falls Apart • Finding God in the Struggle
David cried out "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" Jesus echoed these words on the cross. When you feel abandoned by God, you're not failing in faith—you're sharing something with the greatest heroes of Scripture.
Three Practical Truths:
Feelings aren't facts — God's presence isn't dependent on your emotional state
Keep talking to God — Stay in conversation with God, not just about God
Look for hidden presence — God often works in ways we can't see at the time

"For the Word of God is living, and working effectively, and sharper than every two-mouthed sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrows, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart;"
— Hebrews 4:12 (KJ3)
Until next week, may you find treasures hidden in every verse,
comfort in every struggle, and God's presence even in emptiness.
