12 And after the earthquake was a fire, but Jehovah was not in the fire; and after the fire came a voice, a small whisper.

Elijah, threatened by Jezebel, flees to Beer-sheba. In the wilderness he is given food and drink by an angel. At Horeb God appears to him, sending him to anoint Hazael, Jehu, and Elisha. Elisha follows Elijah.
