¹ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the elect sojourners of the dispersion of Pontus, of Galatia, of Cappadocia, of Asia, and of Bithynia,

1 He blesses God for his manifold spiritual graces, 13 and exhorts them to a godly conversation forasmuch as they are born anew by the Word of God.
