Community Guidelines
Building a Grace-Filled Online Community
Welcome to the BiblicalTools community. This is an open platform where believers and seekers gather to study Scripture, share insights, support one another through prayer, and grow together in faith.
These guidelines exist to help maintain a space where genuine connection, spiritual growth, and respectful dialogue can flourish. We trust our community members to engage with wisdom and grace.
"Let your word be always with grace, having been seasoned with salt, to know how you ought to answer each one." — Colossians 4:6 (KJ3)
Our Core Values
This community is built on the foundation of Christ's love and the pursuit of truth found in Scripture. We value:
- Respect and Dignity: Every person is created in God's image and deserves to be treated with respect, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey.
- Grace and Truth: We speak truth in love, offering both biblical faithfulness and compassionate understanding.
- Openness: This is an open community — all are welcome to participate, ask questions, and share perspectives.
- Spiritual Growth: We're here to grow together, learn from Scripture, and support one another in our walk with God.
What We Encourage
Respectful Discussion
We welcome thoughtful dialogue about Scripture, theology, and matters of faith. Different perspectives and honest questions help us all grow. Disagreement is natural and can be productive when approached with humility.
Prayer and Support
Share prayer requests, offer to pray for others, and provide encouragement. This is a place where burdens can be shared and carried together.
Scripture Sharing
Share verses that have impacted you, discuss biblical passages, and help others engage with God's Word. Context and thoughtful reflection are always appreciated.
Personal Testimony
Your story of faith, struggle, and God's work in your life can encourage others. Authenticity builds genuine community.
Questions and Seeking
If you're exploring faith, have doubts, or simply don't understand something, ask. Honest questions are always welcome here.
What We Don't Allow
Harassment or Personal Attacks
Attacking, mocking, or demeaning other users is not acceptable. Critique ideas respectfully, but never attack people personally.
Hate Speech or Discrimination
Content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, age, or sexual orientation will be removed immediately.
Explicit or Inappropriate Content
This includes sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or content promoting self-harm. Keep the platform safe for all ages.
Spam or Commercial Promotion
Repeated posting of the same content, unsolicited advertising, or promotional material unrelated to the community's purpose will be removed.
Misinformation or Conspiracy Theories
While we welcome discussion of difficult topics, deliberately spreading false information or promoting conspiracy theories that could harm others is not permitted.
Divisive Behavior
Intentionally causing division, starting arguments for their own sake, or consistently derailing constructive conversations undermines community.
Zero Tolerance Policy
The following will result in immediate account removal without warning:
- Threats of violence or harm
- Posting of illegal content
- Attempts to exploit, groom, or harm minors
- Sharing of private information without consent (doxxing)
- Impersonating others or creating fake accounts
Healthy Disagreement
Christians throughout history have held different perspectives on secondary matters while united in core truths. We expect disagreements and welcome them when handled with maturity.
When You Disagree:
- Assume good intentions and extend grace
- Focus on ideas and interpretations, not attacking the person
- Support your perspective with Scripture and sound reasoning
- Be willing to learn — you might be the one who grows from the exchange
- Know when to agree to disagree and move on peacefully
Remember: Unity doesn't require uniformity. We can maintain fellowship while holding different views on non-essential matters.
Privacy and Safety
- Don't share personal information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.) publicly
- Be cautious about sharing details that could identify you or others
- If someone makes you uncomfortable, you can stop engaging with them
- Report concerning behavior to BMI staff
- Remember that anything posted online can potentially be seen by anyone
Moderation and Enforcement
Bible Ministries International staff reserve the right to:
- Remove posts or content that violate these guidelines
- Issue warnings to users who repeatedly violate guidelines
- Temporarily suspend or permanently ban accounts for serious or repeated violations
- Make final decisions on ambiguous situations using biblical wisdom and discretion
Our goal is restoration, not punishment. Most situations will result in a private conversation and opportunity to correct behavior. We believe in second chances but also in protecting the community.
Questions About Guidelines
If you're unsure whether something is appropriate to post, ask yourself:
- Does this build up or tear down?
- Would I say this face-to-face in a Sunday service?
- Am I speaking truth in love?
- Does this honor God and respect others?
When in doubt, err on the side of grace and kindness. If you're still uncertain, reach out to us directly.
