1 Corinthians 12

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 12 of 16

1 But concerning the spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not wish you to be ignorant.

2 You know that when you were nations, how you were led, being carried away to voiceless idols.

3 Because of this I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, Jesus is a curse. And no one is able to say Jesus is Lord, if not by the Holy Spirit.

Paul explains that the same Holy Spirit distributes different gifts (wisdom, healing, languages, prophecy) to each person as He purposes, for the profit of the whole assembly .

Paul compares the assembly to a human body, illustrating that all members—whether Jews or Greeks, strong or weak—are essential, and that there should be no division but mutual care among them [51-53].
