Timeline
Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been generated from God. This is the victory that overcomes the world: the faith of believers. God's commandments are not heavy because everything born of God conquers the world.
1 John 5:1-5Jesus Christ came through water and blood, not water only. Three bear witness in heaven — the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit — and three on earth: the Spirit, the water, and the blood. These three agree as one.
1 John 5:6-9God has given believers everlasting life, and this life is in His Son. The one having the Son has life; the one not having the Son of God does not have life. This is the witness of God concerning His Son.
