KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 17 of 22

1 And Elijah the Tishbite, of the sojourners of Gilead, said to Ahab, As Jehovah the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, there shall be no dew nor rain these years, except according to my word.

2 And the Word of Jehovah came to him, saying,

3 Go away from here; and you shall turn eastward and shall hide by the torrent Cherith, that is before Jordan.

Elijah is sent to Cherith where the ravens feed him. He is sent to the widow of Zarephath. He prays to Jehovah for the widow's son to live.
