KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 24 of 36

1 Joash was a son of seven years when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem; and the name of his mother was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

2 And Joash did the right in the eyes of Jehovah all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

3 And Jehoiada took two wives for him, and he fathered sons and daughters.

Chapter Summary

Joash reigns well all the days of Johoiada. He gives order for the repair of the temple. Jehoiada's death. Joash slays Zechariah; son of Jehoiada. Joash is plundered by the Syrians, and slain. Amaziah succeeds him.
