KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 36 of 36

1 And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah and made him reign instead of his father in Jerusalem.

2 Jehoahaz was a son of twenty three years when he began to reign, and he reigned three months in Jerusalem.

3 And the king of Egypt removed him in Jerusalem, and fined the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

Chapter Summary

Jehoahaz is deposed by Pharaoh, and carried into Egypt. Jehoiakim and Jehoiachin are brought to Babylon. Jerusalem is wholly destroyed.
