KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 12 of 25

1 Joash reigned in the seventh year of Jehu. And he reigned forty years in Jerusalem; and the name of his mother was Zibiah of Beer-sheba.

2 And Joash did that which was upright in the eyes of Jehovah all his days in which Jehoiada the priest directed him;

3 only, the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and offered incense in high places.

Chapter Summary

Joash reigns well all the days of Jehoiada. He repairs the temple. Hazael is diverted from Jerusalem by a present of the dedicated things. Amaziah succeeds Joash.
