KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 9 of 24

1 And David said, Is there yet any who remain left to the house of Saul, that I may do with him kindness because of Jonathan?

2 And to the house of Saul was a servant, and his name was Ziba. And they called him to David. And the king said to him, Are you Ziba? And he said, Your servant!

3 And the king said, Is there not yet a man to the house of Saul, that I may do with him the kindness of God to him? And Ziba said to the king, There is yet a son to Jonathan, lame in both feet.

Chapter Summary

David by Ziba sends for Mephibosheth. For Jonathan's sake he entertains him at his table and returns to him all that was Saul's. He makes Ziba the manager of his estate.
