KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 6 of 10

1 ¶ On that night the king's sleep fled, and he said to bring in the Book of the Records of the Matter of the Days. And they were being read before the king.

2 And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigtha and Teresh, two of the king's eunuchs, the guards of the threshold, who sought to stretch forth a hand against King Ahasuerus.

3 And the king said, What honor and dignity was done to Mordecai for this? And the king's servants of his ministers said, Not a thing has been done for him.

Chapter Summary

1 Ahasuerus reads in the chronicles of the good service of Mordecai. He is rewarded. 4 Haman comes to see that Mordecai is hanged, but he presumes that he is the one to be honored.
