Ezekiel 16

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 16 of 48

1 And the Word of Jehovah was to me, saying,

2 Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations; and say, So says the Lord Jehovah to Jerusalem: Your origin and your birth is of the land of Canaan. Your father was an Amorite and your mother a Hittite.

3 As for your birth, in the day you were born, your navel was not cut, and you were not washed with water to cleanse you. And you were not salted, and you were not at all swaddled.

Chapter Summary

Under the similitude of a wretched infant is shown the natural state of Jerusalem. Jehovah's love towards her. Her sin calls for judgments.

Ezekiel
