Chapter Summary
1 Isaac sends Esau for game.. 6 Rebekah instructs Jacob how to obtain the blessing. 15 Jacob under the person of Esau obtains it. 30 Esau brings game, and by pleading obtains a lesser blessing. 41 He threatens Jacob.

Genesis 27:1-4Rebekah overhears Isaac's words to Esau. She tells Jacob to go to the flock, bring two good goat kids, and she will prepare a savory meal for Isaac, so Jacob can receive the blessing.
Genesis 27:5-10Jacob expresses concern about his smooth skin contrasting with Esau's hairy skin, fearing he will be found out and receive a curse instead of a blessing. Rebekah takes the curse upon herself and urges Jacob to obey.
