The faith of the Lord Jesus Christ must not be held with partiality. If a rich man in fine clothing and a poor man in dirty clothing enter the assembly and you favor the rich, you discriminate and become judges with evil thoughts.
James 2:1-4God chose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom promised to those who love Him. But believers dishonor the poor while the rich oppress them and blaspheme the good Name called upon them.
James 2:5-7Fulfilling the royal Law — love your neighbor as yourself — is doing well. But partiality is sin. Whoever keeps the whole Law but stumbles in one point is guilty of all. Speak and act as those judged by the law of liberty. Mercy rejoices over judgment.
