Jeremiah 24

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 24 of 52

1 Jehovah made me see, and, behold, two baskets of figs set before the temple of Jehovah, after Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had exiled Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, and the rulers of Judah, and the craftsmen, and the smiths from Jerusalem, and had brought them to Babylon.

2 One basket had very good figs, like first ripe figs. And the other basket had very bad figs which could not be eaten from their badness.

3 And Jehovah said to me, What do you see, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs. The good figs are very good, and the bad are very bad, so that they cannot be eaten from their badness.
