John 15

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 15 of 21

¹ I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.

² Every branch in Me not bearing fruit, He takes it away; and every branch bearing fruit, He prunes, so that it may bear more fruit.

³ You are already pruned because of the Word which I have spoken to you.

Jesus Christ

Speaks the discourse: the True Vine in whom the disciples must abide and bear fruit.

God the Father

The Advocate, Spirit of Truth, whom Jesus will send from the Father to witness of Him.

The True Vine

Jesus teaches that He is the true vine and urges His disciples to abide in Him to bear fruit and to love one another despite the world's hatred.
