KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 12 of 16

1 And He began to speak to them in parables: “A man planted a vineyard,” and set a fence around it and dug a winevat, “and built a tower.” And he rented it to vinedressers and went abroad. Isa. 5:1, 2

2 And at the season, he sent a slave to the vinedressers, that he might receive from the vinedressers the fruit of the vineyard.

3 But taking him, they beat him, and sent him away empty.
