Nehemiah 7

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 7 of 13

1 ¶ And it happened when the wall was built, I set up the doors, and the gatekeepers and the singers and the Levites were appointed.

2 I commanded that my brother Hanani, and Hananiah the ruler of the temple be over Jerusalem. For he was as a man of truth and feared God above many.

3 And I said to them, Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the heat of the sun. And while they are standing, let them shut and bar the doors. And make stand guards from those living in Jerusalem, a man in his watch, and a man to be across from his house.
