Jehovah commands that lepers, those with discharges, and those defiled by a dead body be sent outside the camp. This prevents them from defiling the camp where God dwells.
Numbers 5:1-4When a person sins unfaithfully against Jehovah, they must confess and make full restitution. They add a fifth to the principal amount and give it to the wronged party or the priest.
Numbers 5:5-10A ritual is established for a man who suspects his wife of infidelity without proof. The priest makes her swear an oath and drink bitter holy water; if guilty, her belly swells and thigh falls, but if pure, she conceives seed.
