Numbers 5:1-4
Law of Restitution

When a person sins unfaithfully against Jehovah, they must confess and make full restitution. They add a fifth to the principal amount and give it to the wronged party or the priest.

Numbers 5:5-10
Trial of Jealousy

A ritual is established for a man who suspects his wife of infidelity without proof. The priest makes her swear an oath and drink bitter holy water; if guilty, her belly swells and thigh falls, but if pure, she conceives seed.
