¹ I love Jehovah because He hears my voice, my supplications.

² Because He has stretched out His ear to me, even I will also call in my days.

³ The cords of death encompassed me; and the straits of Sheol found me; I found distress and sorrow;

⁴ and I call on the name of Jah: O Jehovah, I pray, deliver my soul!
