Timeline
Titus is to speak things that become sound doctrine: aged men should be temperate, honorable, sensible, and sound in faith, love, and patience.
Titus 2:1-2Aged women should be reverent, not slanderers, not enslaved by wine, and teachers of good. They are to train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be sensible, chaste, home-keepers, and subject to their husbands so the Word of God is not blasphemed.
Titus 2:3-5Younger men are exhorted to be sensible. Titus himself is to be a pattern of good works in doctrine, purity, dignity, and sound speech so that opponents are put to shame.
