KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 9 of 22

1 And it happened, as Solomon finished building the house of Jehovah, and the house of the king, and all the desire of Solomon that he delighted to do,

2 that Jehovah appeared to Solomon a second time, as He appeared to him in Gibeon.

3 And Jehovah said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which you have made supplication before Me; I have sanctified this house that you have built to put My name there forever; and My eyes and My heart shall be there all the days.

Timeline

God Appears to Solomon a Second Time

After Solomon finishes building the house of Jehovah and the king's house, Jehovah appears to him a second time as He did in Gibeon, stating He has sanctified the temple.

God promises to establish Solomon's throne forever if he is obedient, but warns that Israel will be cut off and the temple forsaken if they turn to other gods.

After twenty years of building, Solomon gives Hiram twenty cities in Galilee. Hiram is displeased, calls the land Cabul, but sends 120 talents of gold to Solomon.
