KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 17 of 36

1 And his son Jehoshaphat reigned in his place. And he made himself strong against Israel.

2 And he put an army in all the fortified cities in Judah, and placed garrisons in the land of Judah, and in the cities of Ephraim which his father Asa had captured.

3 And Jehovah was with Jehoshaphat, for he walked in the first ways of his father David; and he did not seek to the Baals.
