KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 6 of 24

1 And David again gathered every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand.

2 And David rose up and went, and all the people with him, from Baal-judah, to bring up the ark of God from there which is called by the Name, the Name of Jehovah of Hosts, who dwells above the cherubs.

3 And they caused the ark of God to ride on a new cart, and took it from the house of Abinadab, which is on the hill. And Uzzah and Ahio the sons of Abinadab were leading the new cart.

Chapter Summary

David gets the ark from Kirjath-jearim on a new cart. Uzzah is killed at The Breach of Uzzah. David brings the ark to Zion with sacrifices and dances before it. He places it in a tent with great joy and feasting.
