KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 28 of 28

1 And being saved, then they knew that the island is called Melita.

2 And the foreigners were showing not the common kindliness to us, for having kindled a fire because of the rain coming on, and because of the cold, they took us all to heart.

3 And Paul gathering a great number of sticks, and putting them on the fire, a snake coming out from the heat fastened on his hand.
