Timeline
Joseph informs Pharaoh that his family and possessions have arrived in Goshen. He presents five of his brothers to Pharaoh. Pharaoh asks their occupation; they state they are shepherds, as their fathers were, and request to live in Goshen due to the famine in Canaan. Pharaoh grants them the best of the land, Goshen, and suggests appointing able men among them as chiefs over his own livestock.
Genesis 47:1-6Joseph brings Jacob before Pharaoh, and Jacob blesses Pharaoh. Pharaoh asks Jacob's age. Jacob states his life has been 130 years, few and evil, not reaching his fathers' days. Jacob blesses Pharaoh again before leaving.
Genesis 47:7-10Joseph settles his father and brothers in the land of Rameses (best of the land, Goshen) as Pharaoh commanded, nourishing them and their families. They prosper and multiply exceedingly.
