Timeline
Joseph informs Pharaoh that his family and possessions have arrived in Goshen. He presents five of his brothers to Pharaoh. Pharaoh asks their occupation; they state they are shepherds, as their fathers were, and request to live in Goshen due to the famine in Canaan. Pharaoh grants them the best of the land, Goshen, and suggests appointing able men among them as chiefs over his own livestock.
