Genesis 7:1-9In Noah's 600th year, on the 17th day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the windows of the heavens open. Rain falls for 40 days and 40 nights.
Genesis 7:10-12Noah, his family, and the animals are secured in the ark by God. The waters prevail for 40 days, lifting the ark above the earth. The waters increase exceedingly, covering all high mountains by 15 cubits. All flesh on earth (fowl, cattle, beasts, creeping things, mankind) dies, with only Noah and those with him in the ark remaining. The waters prevail for 150 days.
