Isaiah 32

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 32 of 66

1 Behold, a King shall reign in righteousness, and rulers shall rule in judgment.

2 And a Man shall be a hiding place from the wind, a shelter from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place; like the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

3 And the eyes of those that see shall not gaze, and the ears of those who hear shall pay attention.

Timeline

The Reign of the Righteous King

A King will reign in righteousness, serving as a shelter from storms. Spiritual blindness and deafness will end, and the foolish will no longer be called noble.

Complacent women are warned to strip, wear sackcloth, and lament, because the vintage will fail and the palaces and jubilant cities will become forsaken ruins.

The Spirit will be poured from on high, turning the wilderness into a fruitful field, bringing justice, righteousness, and a quiet, secure resting place for God's people.
