Isaiah 34

KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 34 of 66

1 Nations, come near to hear; and peoples, give attention! Let the earth hear, and its fullness, the world and all its offspring.

2 For the wrath of Jehovah is on all the nations, and fury on all their army; He has devoted them; He gave them to slaughter.

3 And their slain shall be thrown out; and the stench from their carcasses shall go up; and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

God calls the nations to hear of His wrath on their armies. The slain will be cast out, mountains will melt with blood, and the heavens will be rolled like a scroll.

The Sword and Vengeance upon Edom

Jehovah's sword descends on Edom for a great slaughter in Bozrah. It is the day of vengeance for Zion's cause.

Isaiah 34:5-8
Edom Turned into a Desolate Wasteland

Edom's land is turned to burning pitch and brimstone forever. It becomes a desolate habitation for owls, jackals, desert creatures, and the Lillich.
