KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 7 of 24

1 And when He had completed all His words in the ears of the people, He went into Capernaum.

2 And a certain slave of a centurion, one dear to him, badly having illness, was about to die.

3 And having heard about Jesus, he sent elders of the Jews to Him, asking Him that He might come to restore his slave.

Chapter Summary

1 Christ finds a greater faith in the centurion than in any of the Jews: 10 heals his servant being absent: 11 raises from death the widow’s son at Nain: 36 and shows, through Mary Magdalene, how he is a friend to believing sinners.
