Timeline
In the country of the Gadarenes, Jesus encounters a fierce, chain-breaking man possessed by an unclean spirit named Legion. Jesus casts the demons into a herd of about two thousand pigs, which rush into the sea and drown. The healed man is sent to proclaim this mercy in Decapolis.
Mark 5:1-20A synagogue ruler named Jairus begs Jesus to heal his dying little daughter. On the way, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years touches Jesus' garment in the pressing crowd and is instantly healed by her faith.
Mark 5:21-34Messengers arrive to tell Jairus his daughter has died, but Jesus tells him to only believe. Entering the house with Peter, James, and John, Jesus takes the twelve-year-old girl by the hand, says 'Talitha koumi', and raises her back to life.
