KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 12 of 36

1 And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Cushite woman whom he had taken. For he had taken a Cushite woman.

2 And they said, Has Jehovah spoken only by Moses? Has He not also spoken by us? And Jehovah heard.

3 And the man Moses was very meek, more than any man who was on the face of the earth.

Chapter Summary

Miriam and Aaron speak against Moses because of his Cushite wife and question his unique authority. God defends Moses and strikes Miriam with leprosy. Moses intercedes for her and she is healed after seven days of isolation.
