KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 13 of 31

¹ A wise son hears his father's instruction, but a scorner does not hear rebuke.

² From the fruit of his mouth a man eats good, but the soul of those betraying eats violence.

³ He who guards his mouth keeps his life; he who opens his lips wide, ruin is to him.

⁴ A sluggish one's soul is craving, but having nothing, but the soul of the diligent ones shall be made fat.
