Timeline
A woman clothed with the sun gives birth to a male child destined to rule the nations. The great red dragon with seven heads waits to devour the child, but the child is caught up to God's throne and the woman flees to the wilderness for 1,260 days.
Revelation 12:1-6Michael and his angels fight the dragon and his angels in heaven. The dragon is defeated and cast down to earth — identified as the ancient serpent, the devil, Satan. Believers overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.
Revelation 12:7-12Cast to earth, the dragon pursues the woman who is given eagle's wings to fly to the wilderness. He spews a flood to sweep her away but the earth swallows it. Enraged, the dragon goes to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep God's commands.
