KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 13 of 22

1 And I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten diadems, and on its heads names of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion’s mouth. And the dragon gave its power to it, and its throne, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of its heads, as having been slaughtered to death, and its deadly wound was healed. And all the earth wondered after the beast.

A beast rises from the sea with ten horns and seven heads, receiving the dragon's power. One head bears a mortal wound that heals, astounding the world. It blasphemes God for forty-two months, makes war on the saints, and receives worship from all whose names are not in the Book of Life.
