KJ3 Literal Translation — Chapter 20 of 22

1 And I saw an angel coming down out of Heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain on his hand.

2 And he laid hold of the dragon, the ancient serpent who is the devil, even Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

3 and threw him into the abyss, and shut him up, and sealed over him, that he should not mislead the nations any more, until the thousand years are fulfilled. And after these things, he must be set loose a little time.

Satan Bound for a Thousand Years

An angel seizes the dragon — the ancient serpent, the devil, Satan — binds him with a chain, throws him into the abyss, and seals it for a thousand years so he can no longer deceive the nations until the thousand years are completed.

The First Resurrection and Millennial Reign

Those who were beheaded for Jesus' testimony and did not worship the beast come to life and reign with Christ for a thousand years. This is the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them; they serve as priests of God and Christ.

Revelation 20:4-6
Satan Released and Gog and Magog Destroyed

After the thousand years, Satan is released and deceives the nations at earth's four corners — Gog and Magog — gathering them for battle. They surround the saints' camp and the beloved city, but fire from heaven devours them and the devil is cast into the Lake of Fire forever.
