KJ3 Literal Translation
Isaiah 35
The joyful flourishing of Christ's kingdom. The weak are encouraged by the virtues and privileges of the gospel.
1The wilderness and dry land shall rejoice for them; and the desert shall exult and bloom like the crocus.
2Blooming, it shall bloom and exult; yea, with joy and singing. Lebanon's glory shall be given to it, the honor of Carmel and Sharon; they shall see the glory of Jehovah, the honor of our God.
3Strengthen then the slack of hands and firm up the staggering knees.
4Say to those of a heart being hasty, Be strong! Do not fear! Behold, your God will come with vengeance; with the full dealing of God, He will come and save you.
5Then the eyes of blind ones shall be opened, and the ears of deaf ones opened.
6Then lame ones shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute ones shall sing. For waters shall break out in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.
7And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land shall become springs of waters, in the home of jackals, in its resting place, and a place for the reed and rush.
8And there shall be a highway, even a way, and The Way of Holiness shall be called to it. Unclean ones shall not pass over it. And it is for them, the poor ones going in the way; even foolish ones shall not go astray.
9No lion shall be there; and no violent beast shall go up on it; it shall not be found there. But ones being redeemed shall walk there.
10And ones being ransomed of Jehovah shall return and enter Zion with a ringing cry of joy. and with everlasting joy on their head; gladness and joy shall reach them, and sorrow and sighing shall flee.
