Isaiah 4

Christ's kingdom shall be a sanctuary

6 verses · word-for-word from the Hebrew and Greek · free to read

1And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread and wear our own clothing, only let your name be called on us; collect our shame.
2In that day the Branch of Jehovah will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for majesty and for glory for the escaped of Israel.
3And it shall be, the remnant in Zion, and the remainder in Jerusalem, it shall be said of him: He is holy, every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem;
4when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem shall have been rinsed away from its midst by a spirit of judgment, and by a spirit of burning.
5Then Jehovah will create a pillar of cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, over all the site of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies; for over all the glory will be a covering.
6And there shall be a booth for a shade from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a hiding place from storm and rain.
