KJ3 Literal Translation
Leviticus 17
The blood of all slain beasts must be offered to the Lord at the door of the tabernacle. 10 All eating of blood is forbidden.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and say to them, This is the thing which Jehovah has commanded, saying,
Whatever man of the house of Israel who kills an ox, or lamb, or goat in the camp, or who kills it outside the camp,
and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting to bring it near as an offering to Jehovah before the tabernacle of Jehovah, blood shall be charged to that man. He has shed blood. And that man shall be cut off from the midst of his people.
So that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they sacrifice in the open field, that they may bring them to Jehovah, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to Jehovah.
And the priest shall sprinkle the blood on the altar of Jehovah at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and shall burn the fat for a soothing fragrance to Jehovah.
And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices to the demons after whom they have gone whoring. This shall be a never-ending statute to them for their generations.
And you shall say to them, Whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the aliens who are staying in your midst, who offers a burnt offering or sacrifice,
and does not bring it to the door of the tabernacle of meeting to offer it to Jehovah, even that man shall be cut off from his people.
And whatever man of the house of Israel, or of the aliens who are staying in your midst, who eats any blood, I will set My face against that person who eats blood, and will cut him off from among his people.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood which makes atonement for the soul.
Therefore I have said to the sons of Israel, No person among you shall eat blood, nor shall any alien who is staying in your midst eat blood.
And whatever man of the sons of Israel, or of the aliens who are staying in your midst, who hunts game, beast or bird, which may be eaten, he shall even pour out its blood and cover it with dust.
For as to the life of all flesh, its blood is its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.
And every person who eats what dies of itself, or what is torn by beasts, whether he is a native or an alien, he shall both wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until the evening; then he shall be clean.
But if he does not wash, nor bathe his flesh, then he shall bear his iniquity.
