KJ3 Literal Translation
Leviticus 22
The priests in their uncleanness must abstain from the holy things. 10 Who of the priests’ house may eat of the holy things. 17 The sacrifices must be without blemish.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak to Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the sons of Israel, and that they do not profane My holy name in those things which they sanctify to Me; I am Jehovah.
Say to them, Whoever he may be of all your seed among your generations, who approaches the holy things which the sons of Israel sanctify to Jehovah, having his uncleanness on him, that person shall be cut off from before Me; I am Jehovah.
Whatever man of the seed of Aaron is a leper or has a discharge, he shall not eat of the holy things until he is clean. And whoever touches anything made unclean by the dead, or a man who has had an emission of semen,
or whoever touches any creeping thing by which he may be made unclean, or a man by whom he may be made unclean, whatever his uncleanness may be,
the person who has touched any such thing shall be unclean until evening, and shall not eat of the holy things unless he washes his flesh with water.
And when the sun goes down, he shall be clean, and shall afterward eat of the holy things, because it is his food.
That which dies of itself, or is torn by beasts, he shall not eat, to defile himself with it; I am Jehovah.
They shall therefore keep My ordinance, lest they bear sin for it and die in it, if they profane it; I Jehovah sanctify them.
And no stranger shall eat of the holy thing; a sojourner of the priest, or a hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing.
But if the priest buys any person with his money, he may eat of it; and one who is born in his house may eat of his food.
If the priest's daughter is married to a stranger, she may not eat of the heave offering of the holy things.
But if the priest's daughter is a widow, or divorced, and has no child, and has returned to her father's house as in her youth, she may eat of her father's food; but no stranger shall eat of it.
And if a man eats of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall add a fifth part of it to it, and shall give the holy thing to the priest.
And they shall not profane the holy things of the sons of Israel, which they offer to Jehovah,
or allow them to bear the iniquity of trespass when they eat their holy things; for I Jehovah sanctify them.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
Speak to Aaron, and to his sons, and to all the sons of Israel, and say to them, Whatever he may be of the house of Israel, or of the aliens in Israel, who offers his offering for any of his vows or for any of his freewill offerings, which they offer to Jehovah for a burnt offering,
you shall offer for your acceptance a male without blemish from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.
But whatever has a blemish you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable for you.
And whoever offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to Jehovah, to fulfill his vow, or a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish in it.
Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a running sore, or eczema, or scabs, you shall not offer these to Jehovah, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to Jehovah.
Either a bull or a lamb that has any limb too long or too short you may offer as a freewill offering, but for a vow it shall not be accepted.
You shall not offer to Jehovah that which is bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut; nor shall you make any offering of them in your land.
Nor from a foreigner's hand shall you offer any of these as the bread of your God, because their corruption is in them, and blemishes are in them. They shall not be accepted for you.
And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,
When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, then it shall be seven days with its mother. And from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for an offering made by fire to Jehovah.
But you shall not kill a cow or a ewe and its young both in one day.
And when you offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving to Jehovah, offer it for your acceptance.
On the same day it shall be eaten; you shall leave none of it until morning; I am Jehovah.
Therefore you shall keep My commandments, and do them; I am Jehovah.
And you shall not profane My holy name, but I will be sanctified among the sons of Israel. I am Jehovah who sanctifies you,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. I am Jehovah.
