Proverbs 15

The eyes of Jehovah are in every place.

1A soft answer turns back wrath, but a word of pain causes anger to go up.
2The tongue of the wise makes glad knowledge, but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.
3The eyes of Jehovah are in every place watching the evil ones and the good ones.
4A healing tongue is a tree of life, but perversity in it is a break of the spirit.
5A fool despises his father's instruction, but he keeping correction is prudent.
6In the house of the righteous ones is much treasure, but in the increase of the wicked one is troubling.
7The lips of the wise ones disperse knowledge, but the heart of fools is not so.
8The sacrifice of the wicked one is a disgusting thing to Jehovah, but the prayer of the upright one is His delight.
9The way of the wicked ones is a disgusting thing to Jehovah, but He loves one pursuing righteousness.
10Discipline is an evil thing to one leaving the path of obedience; one hating reproof shall die.
11Sheol and destruction are before Jehovah; even more the hearts of the sons of men!
12A scorner does not love one who corrects him; he will not go to the wise one.
13A joyful heart makes a good face, but by pain of heart the spirit is stricken.
14The heart of the discerning one seeks knowledge, but the mouth of fools feeds on folly.
15All the days of the afflicted one are evil days, but a good heart is a continual feast.
16Better is a little with the fear of Jehovah than great treasure and tumult with it.
17Better is a meal of herbs and love than a fattened ox and hatred with it.
18A man of fury stirs up strife, but one long to anger calms fighting.
19The way of the lazy one is like a hedge of thorns, but the path of the upright ones is lifted up.
20A wise son makes a glad father, but a man who is a fool despises his mother.
21Foolishness is joy to him who lacks understanding, but a man of understanding directs his going.
22Purposes without counsel are frustrated, but by many counselors they rise.
23Joy is to a man by the answer of his mouth, and how good is a word in its time.
24The path of life is upward to the prudent one, that he may turn away from Sheol below.
25Jehovah will pull down the house of the proud ones, but He will set up the widow's border.
26The thoughts of the evil one are disgusting things to Jehovah, but the sayings of pleasantness are pure.
27One gaining unjust gain troubles his own house, but one hating bribes shall live.
28The heart of the righteous one meditates how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked ones pours out evil.
29Jehovah is far from the wicked ones, but He hears the prayer of the righteous ones.
30The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, a good report makes the bones fat.
31The ear that hears the reproof of life dwells in the midst of wisdom.
32He casting off correction despises his own soul, but he who hears reproof gets heart.
33The fear of Jehovah is instruction in wisdom, and before honor is humility.
