Proverbs 28

He who covers his sins never prospers.

1The wicked one flees and none are pursuing, but the righteous ones are as bold as a lion.
2By transgression in a land many are its rulers, but by a discerning man who knows, it is thus prolonged.
3A poor man that oppresses the weak one is like a sweeping rain that leaves no food.
4Those forsaking the law praise the wicked one, but those keeping the law strive with them.
5Evil mankind does not understand judgment, but those seeking Jehovah understand all.
6Better is the poor one walking in his integrity than the crooked one of ways, even if he is rich.
7One keeping the law is a wise son, but one feeding those being worthless shames his father.
8There is one who increases his wealth by interest and by usury, but one pitying the weak ones gathers it.
9He who turns aside his ear from hearing the Law, even his prayer is a disgusting thing.
10One leading astray the upright one in an evil way shall fall into his own pit; and the blameless one shall inherit good.
11A rich man is wise in his own eyes, but the discerning poor one examines him.
12When the righteous ones rejoice, great is the glory, but when the wicked ones rise, a man will be sought out.
13One covering his transgressions will not prosper, but the one confessing and forsaking them shall have pity.
14Blessed is the man who is always in awe of God! But he who hardens his heart falls into an evil way.
15The wicked ruler is a roaring lion and a ranging bear over a poor people.
16The ruler that lacks understanding even adds extortionate deeds, but one hating unjust gain prolongs his days.
17A man pressed down with the blood of a soul shall flee to the pit; let them not uphold him.
18One walking blamelessly shall be saved, but a crooked one in his ways shall fall at once.
19He who works his ground shall have plenty of bread, but one pursuing vanities shall be sated with poverty.
20A faithful man shall be full of blessings, but one pressing to be rich shall not be free from guilt.
21To recognize faces is not good, and for a piece of bread a man will transgress.
22A man with an evil eye is anxious for wealth, but he does not know that poverty will come on him.
23He who reproves a man afterwards finds grace, more than he who flatters with the tongue.
24He who robs his father or his mother, and says, It is not a transgression, he shall be a partner to a man who corrupts.
25The proud in soul stirs up strife, but he who is trusting on Jehovah shall be made fat.
26One trusting in his own heart is a fool, but the one walking in wisdom shall be delivered.
27The one giving to one being poor shall not lack, but the one hiding his eyes shall have plenty of curses.
28When the wicked ones rise, a man hides himself; but when they perish, the righteous ones multiply.
