KJ3 Literal Translation

Psalms 1

The happiness of the godly. The unhappiness of the ungodly.

6 verses · word-for-word from the Hebrew and Greek · free to read

1Happy is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the wicked ones, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of scorners.
2But his delight is only in the Law of Jehovah, and he meditates in His Law day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of waters, which will give its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf will not wither, and all which he does will prosper.
4Not so are the wicked ones, but they are only as chaff which the wind drives about.
5On account of this the wicked one shall not stand in the judgment, and sinners not in the company of the righteous ones.
6For Jehovah is knowing the way of the righteous ones, and the way of the wicked ones shall perish.
