Psalms 82
The psalmist reproves wicked judges, prays for judgment. A Psalm of Asaph.
1A Psalm of Asaph God stands in the assembly of the mighty; He judges in the midst of the gods.
2Until when will you judge unjustly, and lift up the faces of the wicked ones? Selah.
3Judge the orphan and the poor one; do justice to the afflicted one and the ones being needy.
4Deliver the poor one and the needy one; save them out of the hand of the wicked ones.
5They neither know and not will understand; they walk in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
6I have said, You are gods, and all of you are sons of the Most High.
7But you shall die as men, and fall like one of the rulers.
8Rise, O God, judge the earth; for You shall inherit in all the nations.
